DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
The optimal dose must be carefully determined for each patient. The recommended initial dose is one tablet of Farbical D3 daily.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Farbical D3 should not be given to patients with hypercalcaemia or evidence of vitamin D toxicity.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
Since Calcitriol is the most potent metabolite of vitamin D available, vitamin D and its derivatives should be withheld during treatment. In patients undergoing dialysis, who have high serum phosphorus levels, appropriate serum phosphate binders should be used.
Vit B9), Pyridoxal – 5 – Phpsphate (active form of Vit. B6) & Methylcobalamin (active form of Vit. B12) in Farbical D3 together reduces homocysteine levels by 38.5%, increases BMD & reduces fracture incidence by 75%.
Calcitriol & Vitamin K2-7 in Farbical D3 increases the absorption of Calcium by 42% & aids in mineralisation of bones
